Maundy Thursday
"Then [Jesus] said to them, 'My soul is very sorrowful, even to death; remain here, and watch with me." - Mat 26:38
The night Jesus was betrayed after the last supper He bid Peter to wait and watch while he prayed to the Father. In the long tradition of UCO we observe this night with prayer, reflection and watchfulness to honor Jesus' command to Peter, "Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak." (Mat 26:41)
