Dorm Outreach (a.k.a. Dormtroopers)
The Dormtroopers are a group of students united by a decided purpose for which we've chosen to live in the dorms. As Christians, we want to share the joy and life we have found in Christ with those who don't know him; as students, we find that a great way to be able to interact with others and communicate this joy is by living a distinctly Christian life in the dorms. The dorms offer a place where we come into regular daily contact with lots of other students who we can build relationships with as we look to share the fullness of life we have found in Christ.
Besides reaching out to others, as Dormtroopers, we look toward building a Christian community to be able to support one another in the dorms. We believe that we haven't been called as individuals, but rather as a group, a community of Christians living out a common lifestyle togather. Practically speaking, this means we take regular time for prayer, Bible study, and fellowship and work to build strong relationships with each other as Christians. Living in the dorms isn't always easy, but we are greatly blessed by the supportive community life we experience and the amazing opportunity to work together in striving to bring the life and light and joy of Christ into the dorms.
