The call of Christ to dwell in unity is lived out in our promotion of relationships and collaboration among Christians of various traditions. This call crosses barriers of race, class, language and tradition as we share our lives with people from across the United States as well as other countries. Just some of the UCO chapters include Lansing, Pittsburgh, Penn., St. Paul, Minn., Monterey, Mexico, Costa Rica, London, and Manila, Philippines.
UCO seeks to foster both love and worship of God and a life that is lived for His glory. During biweekly prayer meetings, UCO uses the gifts of the Holy Spirit in vibrant worship, to give honor and glory to God.
UCO emphasizes growth in Christian character and virtue. UCO stresses practical, day-to-day living as Christian disciples, as we seek to follow Christ with all of our lives, for the rest of our lives.
UCO is a place where friendships can be made on the foundation of Christ, to offer support and focus in daily lives. We deepen our relationships with each other through men's and women's groups and social events. UCO seeks to be a witness to others of Christ's committed love among his followers.
UCO encourages learning and understanding of the basic truths of the Christian faith, and seeks to give students a solid intellectual grounding in these truths. Seminars, courses, and Bible studies offer an opportunity to learn from God's Word and the experience of others.
UCO serves in many different areas, reaching out especially to high school students. During the school year, UCO conducts various day-long service projects and staffs weekend high school retreats. During the summers, UCO sends people on mission trips and staffs summer camps.
