ClaireWeb Claire Cherniawski

Claire hails from "L-town", (aka Lansing, Michigan), and is joining us this year for her first year on staff. She is also helping out with the new UCO chapter in Hillsdale, MI. Claire served for a year with NET Ministries in West St. Paul, Minnesota, and has an Associates Degree from Lansing Community College. She enjoys playing guitar, coffee and travelling.

 John Hughes

John is a born-and-raised 'Ann Arbor-ite'. He recently graduated from the University of Michigan, with a degree in Economics and German, which sets him up nicely to serve full time on UCO staff. His interests include making, creating, and producing music and thrift store shopping. John's email

Prof. Dan KeatingDr. Dan Keating

Dan is a graduate from the University of Michigan, and has done staff work with UCO for many years, both in Ann Arbor and in the United Kingdom. He has a doctorate in theology from Oxford University, and is an Associate Professor of Theology at Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit. He is an avid, but amateur, gardener. Keating email

Brian LabaBrian Laba

Brian has been involved with UCO since beginning studies at UM in the fall of 97. He graduated near the start of the new millennium with a degree in Ecology and is happy to recommend specific woody plant species good for hugging (rule of thumb: stay away from things covered in thorns or poison ivy). After missing last year tracing his roots and helping with UCO’s sister group in Belfast (Northern Ireland) called TEC he’s ready for another year of helping to build the Kingdom of God here in Ann Arbor with UCO.  Mary Nitkiewicz

Originally from Ypsilanti, she went to Ave Maria College majoring in European History and minoring in Literature. She did a year of service out in the twin cities with Saint Paul’s Outreach, and now has come back to the Ann Arbor area to serve with UCO. These days she spends her time between UCO and teaching at several homeschool associations in the Ann Arbor area. Other interests include drinking coffee, fencing, reading great literature, and studying medieval battles. Mary's email

MollyMolly Pauze

Molly Pauze lives in the area with her husband, Mark, and four kids. She attended U of M, majoring in French (or UCO, as her parents would say). She was part of UCO for four years. They love having guests for dinner; feel free to invite yourself! Molly's email

RosemaryRosemary Thornton

Rosemary is a wife and mother of four girls, ages 11-18. She served in UCO for 5 years after college, and now also serves in graduate school learning to become a Physician's Assistant. Rosemary's email

 Mags Tierney

Mags comes from Ireland. She is staying in the U.S. for a year to serve UCO and to take time for prayer and theology study. Upon meeting some wild folks in a group like UCO at age 17, her dreams shifted to a wonderful new stratosphere, and since then, she has never looked back. Mags worked in sales for a pharmaceutical company after completing her Honors Degree in Chemistry. She left the rich corporate world in 2001, and moved to Belfast to work for a youth mission (Y.I) until July 2007, right before she came to the States. Mags enjoys eccentric individuals, dinner parties and reading about heroes of revolution. Mag's email
